John McKenna

John McKenna has been in television news since 1982.  He got his start in the Global Toronto newsroom where he worked for more than a decade.  He spent a year with CTV News in Toronto and then four years with the CBC in Alberta (Edmonton & Calgary). 

In 1998, he came back east to work at CHCH, where he has spent more than 20 years as Executive Producer. He’s now back working for Global on a freelance basis. 

In his 40+ years in the business he has taught broadcast journalism at four different colleges as well as served as a guest lecturer at multiple colleges and universities.
