RTDNA Canada recognizes Ross McLaughlin with a Western Region Lifetime Achievement Award

Ross McLaughlin pioneered the first consumer investigative franchise (Troubleshooter) at ITV Edmonton (now Global), where he also worked for a time as the main anchor.
He gave hundreds-upon-hundreds of families a voice against big businesses, shady contractors, and everything in between, with his tireless work at ITV (Edmonton), KIRO-TV (Seattle), WJLA-TV (Washington, DC), WXIA-TV (Atlanta), before returning to Canada in 2015 for 7 years at CTV News Vancouver, with the flagship franchise “McLaughlin on Your Side.”
His storytelling style is unique and has inspired countless other reporters and franchises. He is the recipient of 18 Emmy Awards.
Ross is a dual citizen, who has lived most of his life in Canada. He retired in 2022, and currently lives in Portland, Oregon.
