Dave Rogers was one of the original driving forces behind the creation of RTNDA Canada.  

Dave started his news career in 1946 with the St. Croix Courier newspaper and shifted to the electronic media two years later when he joined Radio Press Limited in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 1952, he left CFBC Saint John to become news director of Montreal’s CFCF newsroomIn 1954 Dave became the first news director of CHCH-TV Hamilton.  

In 1961, Dave joined Broadcast News and was promoted to General News Editor in 1972. Two years later, he moved away from news broadcasting, and became a public relations officer with the Canadian Bankers Association.  

Although he was no longer a broadcaster, Dave Rogers remained committed to the industry. He was one of the founders of RTNDA Canada and served as its executive secretary until his death in 1985 at the age of 59.
