About Paul

Paul Dunphy is the weather expert for 5, 6 and 11 p.m. at Global News Calgary and Lethbridge. An endorsed weathercaster of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, Dunphy has been delivering the forecast on Global Calgary since 1985. He first started at radio in Calgary in 1977 working with broadcasting legend Ed Whalen.  When he started his TV career, he drew weather on chalkboards that had maps painted on them and satellite and radar did not exist. Throughout his time at Global Calgary, he worked with RTDNA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Gord Gillies and continues to work with long-time friend Linda Olsen. Dunphy is a proud husband, father and avid animal lover who supports a number of local charities in the community.
