Calgary, Alberta – (June 9, 2020) – RTDNA Canada is pleased to honour Rosalie Woloski with an RTDNA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding service and continued excellence in her journalism career.

“As someone who has shaped so many young journalists, and particularly women, I am thrilled to see Rosalie recognized by her colleagues and peers,” said RTDNA Canada President Fiona Conway.

Rosalie celebrates 50 years in journalism this Spring. She is currently the senior producer of Saskatoon Morning and has led the show since its debut five years ago.

Rosalie began her career as a print reporter, writing for The Winnipeg Tribune and Maclean’s magazine before joining the CBC in 1979. She spent many years as the CBC’s lead agriculture reporter, the first woman to hold the role. She has hosted almost all of CBC Saskatchewan’s programs and oversaw the news division for five years. She will be retiring in June.

She is described by her colleagues as a trailblazer. Every young journalist who has had the opportunity to work with her has learned the importance of curiosity, skepticism and, most importantly, that the fight for equality continues.
